Scholarships
The Criminal Justice Section offers a limited number of scholarships each year to the courses listed below:
- Dawson Conference on Criminal Appeals: May 1-3, 2024, Austin
- 37th Annual Rusty Duncan Criminal Law Advanced Seminar: June 13-15, 2024, San Antonio
- Criminal Law 101: July 21, 2024, Houston
- 50th Annual Advanced Criminal Law Seminar: July 22-25, 2024, San Antonio
- 1st Video Presentation of the 50th Annual Advanced Criminal Law Seminar: August 28-30, 2024, Carrollton
- 2nd Video Presentation of the 50th Annual Advanced Criminal Law Seminar: September 18-20, South Padre Island
- TDCAA Annual Criminal & Civil Law Conference: September 18- 20, 2024, Round Rock
Application Deadlines: All applications are due by April 1, 2024 at 5PM

Application Requirements:
- You must be a current member of the Criminal Justice Section to apply. Preference will be given to lawyers licensed 5 years or less.
- Applications must be complete at the time of submission. Incomplete applications will
not be considered. - Scholarships can be used for course registration and travel expenses.
Reimbursement Information:
- $1,200 is available per scholarship.
- Reimbursement requests MUST be made using the form provided by the Section.
- Each recipient MUST submit both the course cost and other scholarship items on the scholarship form provided by the Criminal Justice Section.
- The Section will NOT reimburse CLE providers directly.
